It's a great thing, however I am still not fully prepared to record a video comment! May be later at some point of time I might record my video comment! thanks for the info though.

Ive been looking forward to this for a while... video has become an increasing part of the internet in the last couple of years with the explosion of youtube and similar sites, add to that peoples download speeds are increasing i dont see why video commentingf cannot take off in a big way.... disqus is awesome and they are revolutionising the way blog commenting should be done... Kudos to them

For a blog, comments have their word arround. Implementing videos with it its just making blogginf better. I am using disqus and loving it, it give a new different note for my blog.

I wondered when this might come around. As popular as video sites have become, implementing it into a blog commenting platform seems like the next step. I'll be curious to see just how many people will utilize the video service versus old fashion text commenting. While I like video, I find it much easier to communicate via regualr blog posts. Just my .02 worth.

nice move from both seesmic and disqus.... I've been using a video comments plugin for wordpress for a while, called riffly. I'll definately be moving to disqus right now.

Disqus has given us a distinctive and uncomplicated manner of posting blogs in different sites.. It has made our searching for appropriate sites more straightforward.. And along with this, no doubt its integration with video has given us a great taste...

One small hiccup I've found is that Seesmic won't pull in your Disqus account information. You've got to be registered with the currently private mocospace.com alpha service to have it linked up with any sort of account. Otherwise you're limited to leaving an anonymous comment that can later be reclaimed when you get Seesmic access.

Video commenting could be cool, but in the end I think you are just going to get a bunch of knucklehead's posting garbage. Plus, with text comments you can filter out garbage. You can't do that with video.

Basically whenever I sign up for a new site, I go in and make sure all the email settings are disabled. When I first started with Facebook, I www.chase.com was going nuts with how many emails I'd get, for the simplest stuff like someone commenting on my status...

It seems Disqus wants to get the best services out there and make one big reliable service for everyone to enjoy. It would be really nice to be able to use any type of account and have all the "register" business out of the way.
